Pacific Beach Trader Joe’s Moving To Staples On Garnet

Trader Joe’s Pacific Beach Is Moving Locations (further east on Garnet Ave)

So, there has been a ton of talk about the pending move of the Pacific Beach Trader Joe’s to the (currently being renovated) Staples location.

The current location is:1211 Garnet Ave, San Diego, CA 92109

and the new address will be:

1650 Garnet Ave, San Diego, CA 92109

Lots of customers ask “Is your store moving locations?” This is true. I found this little blurb about Staples on yelp that touches on the subject. It pretty much wraps it all up:

“This Staples location will reopen in March 2015….according to an article in the Beach & Bay Press, Thursday July 24, 2014 paper.  Trader Joes will take the former Staples location and the new Staples will be next door.” Yelp

   Again, this is true. However, there are lots of politics and many extenuating circumstances associated with developing in San Diego. That being said, it is the current plan but things constantly change with commercial relocation. I will do my best to keep everyone up to date with whatever is being addressed amongst the workers of the store.

** UPDATE: This has now been pushed to August/September(ish). However, anyone who has driven by the new location can plainly see that there is still much to be done. Im assuming more like October-ish (for now).
